Be prepared

Make sure you have enough medicines for when you can't get to your doctor or pharmacist.

If you need a repeat prescription urgently, call your GP. If you cannot speak to your GP practice, call NHS 111.

Check if your GP practice and local pharmacy is open during weekends and bank holidays here.

Opening hours can change at short notice, so always contact the service before you travel.

It is also important to have your own supplies of everyday medicines for headaches, upset stomachs, colds and flu.
